Discover Piedmont: Wine, culinary culture, and community in an authentic setting

Sessame, which we affectionately call “the village,” is nestled in the heart of one of Italy’s most beautiful wine regions, with views of vineyards and the surrounding mountains. Here, you’ll enjoy a vacation in an authentic setting focused on tranquility, fine dining, and wine, as well as a landscape that invites relaxation and memorable experiences.

This is an ideal destination for wine and food enthusiasts. In the surrounding area, you’ll find the well-known towns of Asti, Alba, and Bra, all within a short drive. Here, you can visit small specialty shops, wine bars, and restaurants offering local specialties. In late summer and fall, the grape harvest is in full swing, which means festive town festivals where both locals and visitors participate.

About the vacation rental

Sessame consists of three houses that can accommodate up to 20 people in total. This makes it ideal for large families, groups of friends, or multi-generational families who want to vacation together. The houses have been completely renovated and furnished with modern amenities. Between the houses lies a large common area with a pool and terraces, where the whole family can gather for socializing, meals, and relaxation. All three houses have a washer and dryer, and from the property you can enjoy the fantastic view of the vineyard landscape.

The nearest airport is Turin Airport. Renting a car is recommended, as the area is quite hilly, and it gives you the freedom to visit nearby towns, wineries, and restaurants.

Sessame is an absolutely fantastic place for both children and adults. Three generations of our family stayed there in early summer 2025 during a heatwave, and we made good use of the pool. The accommodations are beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The kitchens are well-equipped, and we were able to easily cook meals together and eat outdoors on the terrace. There are also plenty of opportunities to retreat and find peace and shade.
The area is beautiful, and several of us went for morning runs there. All in all, a magnificent experience.

  2. Klaus Termansen

Sessame is highly recommended. It’s in a lovely location surrounded by nature with sweeping views. The accommodations offer plenty of space for large groups and are therefore ideal for large families or groups of friends traveling together.

  3. Charlotte Ottar Merland

An absolutely fantastic, authentic, spacious, and well-appointed home right in the heart of beautiful Piedmont! We were there with three couples and stayed comfortably in the house with the green shutters, while our daughter and her boyfriend stayed in the slightly smaller one with red shutters. We wholeheartedly agree that visiting the surrounding towns mentioned is a delight, and we also visited a winery with a fantastic history and excellent wines (Riboli Azienda Agricola) and the family-run restaurant Il Giardinetto, both of which come highly recommended and are located nearby. We highly recommend this accommodation if you love or want to explore Piedmont, and we’ll definitely be back!

  4. Lone Hedemand

A spacious and authentic home right in the heart of Piedmont with a truly magical view from the pool area. Perfect for large families, groups of families, or friends.
We stayed there for three weeks in late September and visited Alba, Barbaresco, Barolo, Acqua Terme, and Asti. All lovely towns with great opportunities to sample the wonderful wines. Great hiking trails right outside the door. The nearest neighbor, a bit up the mountain behind the house, is a winemaker and is more than happy to show off his vineyards and talk about the production process while generously pouring wine for guests.
It’s about a 15-minute drive to the nearest place to shop and eat at a restaurant, so you should expect to drive everywhere. However, it is possible to take the beautiful walk to Sessame, but it requires really good hiking legs to make it back home, and only if you’re lucky will the local café be open.
