Gastronomy, wine, and nature experiences in the heart of Piedmont
Montegrosso is the perfect destination for those who love the good life and want to combine relaxation with unique food and wine experiences. The area is known for its lush vineyards, charming villages, and culinary traditions, with wines such as Barolo and Barbera, as well as local delicacies, taking center stage.

The perfect base for hiking, biking, wine, and fine dining. One of the most peaceful places you can imagine. It was a luxury for the two of us, but the accommodation would also be perfect for a couple of families. As for recommendations for winery visits, there are plenty of tips in the guestbook. Otherwise, start by visiting the wine shop in town run by Francesco Bertolino, who speaks perfect English and knows everything about the area. He acts as a sort of tourist information office and is incredibly friendly and helpful. He also makes his own excellent wines, which everyone can taste for free.
A lovely, spacious house with plenty of room—perfect for a vacation in wine country
Close to shops, restaurants, and local wineries that are happy to offer tastings. Very quiet area.
This was our second time there, and the accommodation had been upgraded with air conditioning—definitely an improvement when the sun is beating down in Piedmont…
We just spent a wonderful week in this lovely house. The house is spacious and well-appointed, with a fantastic location offering panoramic views. It’s a great base for exploring the beautiful Piedmont region.
This is our second stay in Montegrosso, and the property’s appeal has increased tenfold since the air conditioning was installed—wonderful!
The furniture, tableware, and fixtures have been upgraded, and the house feels much more harmonious than before.
It was sparkling clean upon arrival, but it’s apparently still difficult to dispose of trash and recyclables properly, and we had to drive a load to the recycling center in the neighboring village.
The house is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing. Sunbathe outside, stream content via Chromecast on the TV in the living room, play games in the family room, or cook in the large open-concept kitchen. The AC kept the temperature comfortable throughout the house.
A beautiful area to walk around in. If you’re a family looking for a few more activities, there’s padel in Asti, next to the swimming pool, and go-karting is also available in the area.
I highly recommend the restaurant “El Argentino,” located further up the mountain. Here you’ll find delicious meat at an affordable price considering the quality.
A lovely, spacious house. The air conditioning works well, even during hot weather. A superb location at the top of a hill, just a 50-meter walk from a nice restaurant (Restaurant Centrale). There are several good restaurants within walking distance, and you can enjoy wine tasting at Bertolino at the foot of the hill. We also visited a nice public pool complex about 5 km from the house. It was great to have a place to swim nearby.
A lovely, spacious house. We were two couples, and thanks to the good weather, we only used the kitchen/dining area and the bedrooms on the first floor.
A few small things are missing, but the house works well.
A lovely, spacious house in a unique location, ideal if, like us, you want to visit wineries in the Piedmont region and/or take a side trip to the Italian Riviera or Turin, for example.
Excellent value for money—highly recommended.
