  1. Michael Dahlsgaard

One of the biggest highlights of the place is the lovely rooftop terrace where we had breakfast in the sun every day—and we also used the built-in grill on the terrace several times. There’s a nice view of the white houses in the resort area, palm trees in the distance, and beautiful flowering shrubs like bougainvilleas. The small covered terrace below is also wonderful. The Los Dolses residential area itself is very quiet and pleasant, but the small “square” with restaurants nearby is a bit shabby and rather uncharming. There’s a small supermarket nearby—though we drove to the somewhat larger Mercadona in VillaMartin—cheaper and with a wider selection. We highly recommend getting away from the touristy coast and exploring cities like Cartagena and Elche—such lovely, charming towns. The place is a great base for both relaxation and adventures—we saw wild flamingos in Torrevieja by the pink salt lake. The older teens loved the community pool, which is open to guests, and we often had the pool all to ourselves, even though we were there in July/August. We’d love to come back.

  2. Ane Ellegaard

A lovely apartment with a beautiful, quiet pool just down the road and a fantastic rooftop terrace.
The nearby streets are nice and charming, but the immediate neighborhood was a bit run-down, and in August it was packed with tourists—the beach was practically inaccessible. We really appreciated having a car to explore the surrounding countryside and towns.

  3. Nanna Holst

A truly lovely, stylish, and well-designed home in a beautiful and quiet residential neighborhood. It’s brilliant that there’s both a covered balcony—if you want to avoid wind, rain, and the midday sun while still being outside—and the lovely rooftop terrace, perfect for sunbathing and watching the sunset on clear days. A car is absolutely essential, as there isn’t really a town in the area, and it’s a long walk to the sea through heavy traffic. It completely slipped our minds that there was access to one of the communal pools locally in the area, because we couldn’t find that information in the paperwork—and we’re only seeing this thread now after returning home—but it’s great that the option exists for a hot day at home. Like many others here, we’re thrilled with Cartagena—and we highly recommend grabbing the amazing and insanely cheap “menu del día” for lunch at the very local restaurant Nebraska in Santiago de la Ribera, followed by a siesta on the town’s lovely beach, if you want to experience authentic Spanish atmosphere and cuisine without the tourist hustle and bustle.

  4. Flemming Jakobsen

A lovely place to stay with plenty of room for 4 people. Comfortable beds. A wonderful rooftop terrace. Pure luxury with 2 bathrooms. Limited dining options nearby. Many great places to visit in the area; Cartagena is definitely worth a visit.
It’s nice to have the shared swimming pool in the area.

  5. Robert Hanssen/Joan Tønnesen

The apartment is in excellent condition. It features a lovely balcony and a large rooftop terrace accessible via a steep staircase, which might make it less child-friendly if you have small children. It includes all modern amenities and appliances in the kitchen, including a washing machine. Air conditioning and ceiling fans are also provided. The apartment is located in a very quiet neighborhood. There are local restaurants and a small shopping center. Nearby is the beach and a huge shopping center with restaurants and shops. Additionally, there is access to a lovely swimming pool just 2 minutes from the apartment.

  6. Mikael Grønfeldt

A lovely apartment with a nice rooftop terrace and both a dishwasher and a washing machine. It’s located in a quiet area with many English vacationers and residents.
We weren’t able to find a restaurant serving Spanish food. For lack of a better option, we visited “La Finca,” which isn’t too far away, but the walk there is a bit winding. However, the menu clearly reflects the many English guests.
The local supermarket is within walking distance, but for most other things, you’ll need a car.
We played on three beautiful and well-maintained golf courses: Villamartin, La Finca, and Las Ramblas. The latter is clearly the most challenging of the three.

  7. Torben Grøn

Los Dolses 630 is a lovely apartment in an equally lovely house located on a cul-de-sac and therefore a quiet street. And the apartment is fantastic. During the 14 days we’ve stayed there, we’ve felt very much “at home.” And it has everything you need. We chose to go there in March. And we moved into an apartment that was very clean and nice. And even though the weather had been bad and cold throughout February, we experienced blue skies and sunshine with temperatures between 25–28 degrees every single day. And that gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the good weather both on the balcony, the wonderful rooftop terrace, and at the beautiful beach in La Zenia. The apartment is also well-appointed. A cozy kitchen with a dishwasher. Two nice bathrooms and a bedroom with a comfortable double bed. Parking right in front of the house. It’s a 5-minute walk to a great supermarket. The large Boulevard shopping center, with over 150 stores, is also nearby. A beautiful and exciting center with free parking in the basement. Several good restaurants within the same short walking distance. And at reasonable prices. We can recommend Quisine and Fa Li Du. There is also a good golf course nearby—Villamartin Golf. The area consists of vacation apartments and is well-located for many exciting day trips by car to places like Elche, Alicante, and Cartagena. The last two are fantastic cities. Los Dolses is a nice and upscale area and is highly recommended for those who want a great and relaxing vacation. That’s what we wanted. And it was definitely a success!

  8. Iben Sorgenfrei

Los Dolses perfectly met our need for sun and relaxation in January! 20 degrees and sunshine every day—which was quite a stroke of luck. It’s a typical vacation neighborhood, mainly inhabited by foreigners, which is why there are virtually no Spanish restaurants nearby! But on the other hand, there are Indian and Italian restaurants, as well as many English pubs… If you want to try Spanish food, Los Cucalos (see Facebook) is a local spot nearby, as is Dona Isabel in San Miguel de Salinas. A must-visit is El Gallego in Pilar de Horadada, which is a fantastic steakhouse; the owner raises the animals himself in northern Spain and ships the meat south. Their beef is superb! It’s a bit of an Argentine concept with a strong emphasis on meat quality, and the vegetables aren’t the main focus…
Groceries can be bought at Dualprix nearby (a bit pricey and limited selection) or at Consum by the water. You have to drive a bit to see “authentic” Spanish life, but Murcia and Cartagena are worth a visit, as is the small town of San Miguel de Salinas, which is closer by. Also, the large “enclosed” lagoon, starting at San Pedro del Pinatar, south of Los Dolses, which is also partly a bird sanctuary where migratory birds stopping over on their way to and from Africa rest. A long harbor promenade with a lively atmosphere and restaurants.
