  1. Klaus Termansen

An incredibly lovely place, perfect for vacations with large groups of friends or the whole family—including children and grandchildren. It’s a 20-minute drive to local grocery stores and about 50 minutes to nearby larger towns.

  2. Finn, Elsebeth, and the Wine Club

Together with our wine club, we had an absolutely fantastic and unforgettable stay at Hacienda Alicante—and the weather during the last week of September was like the height of summer in Denmark. We were lucky enough to be joined for the entire week by a couple of sommeliers who are also shareholders in Investering & Feriebolig. Our sommelier had already arranged visits and tastings at four selected wineries (or bodegas, as they’re called in Spain)—and in addition, we enjoyed daily tastings of local wines on the terrace or in the TV lounge, accompanied by commentary on the wines’ origins and diversity. A tremendous wine experience for a 35-year-old wine club—we highly recommend asking the company about the opportunity to receive advice and guidance from the sommelier couple, who, in addition to their extensive wine knowledge, also know the area intimately when it comes to hiking and sightseeing. We had hired the chef from the nearby restaurant to come to the hacienda for 5 days, during which we were served 3 selected dishes each evening at an incredibly low price, likely around 25% of what it would cost at a restaurant in Denmark. The chef is a personality with an infectious sense of humor, and she chose to close the restaurant on the days she had reserved for us. It was lovely to sit outside on the inviting terrace and enjoy food and wine without having to worry about driving afterward, but simply being able to walk to our tastefully decorated and spacious rooms when we were ready for bed. The pool area and amenities like table tennis, petanque, and darts were used frequently. The hacienda is particularly well-suited for either small groups or a larger family vacation, as you can both enjoy each other’s company and also have the privacy you might desire. The rent is incredibly affordable when you calculate the price per person, given the many amenities. A stay at the hacienda comes highly recommended.

  3. Tom Fabricius Storm

A large hacienda that we used to celebrate my 60th birthday with friends and family. The secluded location in the middle of the arid landscape was ideal for getting the guests involved in “team-building” activities around mealtimes, cleanup, etc. The kitchen is spacious and well-suited for this, plus there are outdoor grill stations. We did most of our shopping at the Consum supermarket in Pinoso, and there are excellent local wines at the wine cooperative in the same town. At a local winery, Vina Elena, we bought several cases of wine and were able to arrange a lovely wine tasting at the hacienda itself.
The guests praised the rooms and the location, and we played soccer, pétanque, and water volleyball. We also mapped out a 4.7 km running route through the beautiful hilly terrain and used it several times, including for walks. We bought inexpensive and remarkably good white and red wine—bottled directly from wooden barrels into plastic jugs—from a winemaker located a short distance up the running route, almost by chance due to our curiosity.

  4. Gry Wildenstein

A truly lovely, newly renovated home! Surrounded by beautiful views and lovely nature, it’s in a fantastic location—though far from everyday amenities and shopping. The home itself and the rooms are absolutely fantastic! A large, well-equipped kitchen and a lovely terrace with plenty of possibilities. The only downside is that you need to rent a car to get here; there’s no beach, but the mountains are beautiful! We visited wineries, and if the weather is cool enough, there are great hiking opportunities in the area. We loved Hacienda Alicante!
