Goslar – Reitstallweg

Goslar is the main town in the Harz Mountains and boasts a charming and historically interesting town center. It is an old imperial town, and from here you have ample opportunity to explore the surrounding towns, such as Bad Harzburg or Quedlinburg, which are within an hour’s drive of Goslar. Goslar is a year-round destination where, at Christmas, the classic German Christmas spirit is in full swing, and in the summer, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking in the mountains. The city has many shops, the Karstadt department store, and countless restaurants. This vacation destination offers outdoor activities and an interesting cultural and historical background.

History, charm, and a year-round destination in the Harz Mountains

Goslar is the capital of the Harz region and one of Germany’s most charming cultural towns. As a former imperial city, Goslar boasts a well-preserved historic downtown filled with half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and cozy town squares. The city is a great place to visit year-round; in the summer for hikes in the beautiful mountains, and in the winter when the Christmas market transforms the city into an atmospheric winter wonderland.

From Goslar, you can take day trips to other exciting towns such as Bad Harzburg and Quedlinburg, both of which are less than an hour’s drive away. The town itself offers great shopping, including the Karstadt department store, as well as a wealth of restaurants, cafés, and cultural and historical attractions.

Close to town. The apartment comfortably accommodates 8 people.

  2. Mogens Olsen

A large and spacious home located in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of downtown.

There is a really nice view of the countryside and the city from the two rooftop terraces, which get morning sun and afternoon sun, respectively.

From the road behind the apartment, there is direct access to a beautiful, rolling wooded area, where, about 2 kilometers away, lies an idyllic, large forest lake that can be seen from a high vantage point.

A truly beautiful sight and a trip I highly recommend.

A great apartment within easy walking distance of the charming town center. As avid hikers, we found the area fantastic, and we’ll definitely be back.

The apartment: A good size for 6 people. It’s nice to have 2 bathrooms.
The window in the main room could benefit from being opened at night, as it can get hot when temperatures rise.

Chromecast and the other equipment worked as they should.
