Goslar is the capital of the Harz region and one of Germany’s most charming vacation destinations. The city is an ancient imperial town with a well-preserved medieval center, where half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and cozy squares create an authentic atmosphere. Goslar is a year-round destination where, in the summer, you can enjoy hiking in the Harz Mountains and beautiful nature, and in the winter, you can experience a Christmas market filled with classic German Christmas spirit.
The city offers a wide variety of restaurants, cafés, and shops, including the famous Karstadt department store. From Goslar, there are also excellent opportunities for day trips to the cultural towns of Bad Harzburg and Quedlinburg, both of which are less than an hour’s drive away.
About the apartment
The apartment on Breite Strasse is located in the heart of Goslar’s historic center, in a classic half-timbered house. Here, you’ll be staying in the heart of the city, just a short walk from attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The apartment is on the top floor without an elevator, and there are quite a few stairs to climb. It is therefore not suitable for people with mobility issues.
The home has been completely renovated and features two floors. It has three bedrooms that can accommodate up to six people, making it ideal for a family or a group of friends who want to experience Goslar’s charm up close.
During the winter months, you can combine your stay with a day of skiing. The small Bocksberg ski area is about a 30-minute drive away and features just under 4 km of slopes and six lifts—perfect for an affordable and enjoyable day of skiing. Please note that the area is small, so be sure to check the season and snow conditions yourself.
Location and Transportation
The apartment is located in the heart of downtown Goslar, offering easy access to cultural attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The nearest airport is Hannover Airport, which is about an hour and a half’s drive from Goslar.
Practical information
- Final cleaning is mandatory and costs 1,050 DKK. It is automatically added to your booking and includes linens and towels.
- A daily fee of 21 DKK per person will be charged and automatically added to the total price. Please be sure to specify the correct number of people when booking.
- In Germany, a 7% VAT is charged on the rent, which is automatically added at the time of booking.

A lovely apartment in a perfect location in the city. The bedrooms are very spacious and offer plenty of closet space. Please note that there is four hours of free parking for electric cars on Kornstrasse.
The apartment is a great starting point for hikes, such as to Brocken, the Titan RT Bridge, and the Bodetal Valley. The trails are well marked.
Highly recommended.

Spacious apartment in a prime location in the beautiful town of Goslar. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. We parked in the large parking lot—Parkplatz Kornstrasse (386004)—where you can use the Easy-Park app, and parking is free on Sundays and holidays, as well as every day between 6:00 PM and 10:00 AM. Plenty of exciting experiences are just a half-hour drive from the apartment. A trip to Goslar to stay in the apartment on Breite Strasse comes highly recommended.
A lovely home centrally located just 200 meters from the pedestrian zone. From here, you’ll have easy access to both Goslar and the rest of the Harz region. Parking is available 200 meters from the home at a very low rate, so bring your car and explore the beautiful Harz region.
A fantastic city where you feel like you've stepped back in time. The apartment has everything you need, and you get a fantastic view just by looking out the windows.
A lovely, large, spacious, and renovated apartment in a central location.
A bit dark, especially on the ground floor—it would have been even better if it had a balcony or access to a terrace.
Parking would have been easier if the apartment came with a resident parking permit—or at least some guidance in the apartment or in the information packet (e.g., regarding free parking in certain areas, such as near the train station).
A nice apartment with plenty of space, located just a 2-minute walk from Marktplatz.
The apartments are on the 3rd and 4th floors and do not have an elevator, which is why they are rated only 4 stars.
Rigoletti and Casa da Enzo are two excellent Italian restaurants.

A really nice two-story apartment in the heart of Goslar. Large bedrooms with plenty of closet space. A well-equipped, compact kitchen. It’s great to have a storage room where the washing machine was kept. The TV room upstairs is a real hit.
A really lovely apartment with everything you need. Well laid out, with sleeping areas on one level and a large living room with a TV on another. Centrally located near the pedestrian street with plenty of great dining options (remember to bring cash—not all places accept cards). There’s a fantastic butcher shop nearby with really good food if you want to cook for yourself. Shopping is close by. A trip to Brocken (Blocksbjerg) is worth the train ride. But there are plenty of other things to do in the area as well.
The apartment is located right in the heart of town, so most places are within walking distance. It’s an older, quaint house in a quiet neighborhood; parking is free in a large lot right next to the apartment.
Goslar and the surrounding area are definitely worth a visit—and preferably more than one.
