Modern vacation home in the Italian Dolomites
The mountains of Northern Italy are truly special, with snow-covered slopes in winter and beautiful, lush landscapes in summer. In winter, the area is a true paradise for ski enthusiasts, offering access to both Madonna di Campiglio and Marilleva, while summer brings hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, and stunning views of the Dolomites. From the property, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the nearest ski lift, which takes you directly to Marilleva. From there, you can easily continue on to Madonna di Campiglio, giving you access to the entire ski area with approximately 120 kilometers of slopes.
About the area
Folgarida is a small town in the heart of the Dolomites. Here you’ll find five restaurants within walking distance of the accommodation, while the town of Dimaro (a 15-minute drive away) offers a wider selection of dining options. If you’d like to visit a larger city, Trento is about an hour’s drive away.
In winter, skiing is the main attraction, but in summer the area transforms into a playground for nature lovers. The lifts that carry skiers up the slopes in winter are used during the summer months to transport hikers and mountain bikers up the mountainsides, where you’ll find beautiful lakes, green valleys, and stunning viewpoints.

About the apartment
Meledrio 40 is a small, fully renovated apartment that sleeps up to 4 guests. The apartment is located just 500 meters from the ski lift, making it ideal for a ski vacation. It features one bedroom with a double bed and a 140×200 cm bed in the ground-floor room.
Please note that this apartment is not suitable for people with mobility issues: To enter the apartment, you must climb many stairs, and once inside, a steep staircase leads up to the first floor.
Location and Transportation
Both Bolzano and Milan airports are within easy reach, giving you flexible travel options. The drive from Bolzano Airport takes about 1½ hours. The drive from Milan Airport takes 3½ hours. Renting a car is recommended, as the area is mountainous and ideal for day trips.
Practical information
- This residence is NOT suitable for people with mobility issues.
- Bookings can only be made with a check-in date on Tuesday or Saturday, as we are otherwise unable to have the apartment cleaned. You are allowed to book a stay starting on Saturday but not arrive until Sunday, for example, but there will be no refund for the days you do not use.
- Final cleaning is mandatory and costs 1,125 DKK. It is automatically added at the time of booking and includes linens and towels.
- A daily fee of 21 DKK per person will be charged and automatically added to the total price. Please be sure to specify the correct number of people when booking.
Parking
During peak season, parking is limited. We recommend using the parking garage at Hotel Belvedere (about a 10-minute walk from the apartment). During the off-season, there are more parking options available near the stairs leading up to the apartment.

Nice, well-equipped apartment
But phew, there are a lot of stairs leading up to it. Folgarida is practically deserted in the summer, but it’s an excellent hiking area, especially around Madonna di Campiglio.
A drying cabinet is something we really want… We were lucky that the sun was out most days, so we only came home with wet mittens, but if we aren’t so lucky next time, clothes that are wet in the evening will still be wet in the morning because we have nowhere to dry them. Some apartments in the complex have drying cabinets on the terrace…
A lovely apartment located in a quiet area.
We were on a ski vacation, and it worked out great with a short walk to the Belvedere lift; we could also easily find parking at the apartment and near the lift (January, week 2)
The apartment could be marked more clearly with a sign or house number, but we found it based on the photos 🙂
A beautifully renovated small two-story apartment. Everything works perfectly and is thoughtfully designed. Beautiful views. Plenty of hiking trails nearby as well as in Madonna di Campiglio. The neighbor was quite accommodating about having to walk past our table and chairs on the outdoor porch. It’s great that you added a photo, as we had quite a hard time finding the entrance—maybe mark the photo with an arrow?
