The apartment is located at the top of the building and is the only one on the 3rd floor, ensuring complete privacy. The apartment is approximately 70 m² and is designed for 2 people, but can accommodate 2 additional guests on the sofa bed in the living room. The layout consists of a spacious entryway, a modern marble bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a bedroom, and a cozy living room with a dining table and sofa. There is also a washing machine on the terrace. The apartment has air conditioning in both the bedroom and the living room.

The apartment is located in a quiet area just a few minutes’ walk from one of the best sandy beaches along the Athens Riviera. The location is ideal, just 20 km from Athens International Airport, 40 km from downtown Athens, and close to both Marathon and Nea Makri. The small seaside town of Zoumperi offers a few shops and restaurants (some are only open during the summer months), while Nea Makri, just 2 km away, has a wide selection of dining options and shops that are open year-round. Two main roads run along the coast: Poseidonos, close to the water, and Marathonos, behind the town, where you’ll find supermarkets and a wide variety of shops. From Rafina, about 10 km from the apartment, ferries depart for the Aegean Islands, including Naxos, Santorini, and Mykonos.

You can explore the area without a car, as both taxis and buses are inexpensive and easily accessible.

Cozy apartment with spacious rooms. If it’s cold on some days, as it unfortunately was for us, it’s hard to heat it up properly since there’s only heating in the bedroom and living room. There’s a draft coming in through the kitchen door. The apartment has everything you need. The terrace is fantastic, with plenty of space and plenty of places to find shelter if it gets a bit windy. There’s a lovely view of the water. However, I would definitely recommend renting a car, as it’s a long way to the nearest supermarket—we couldn’t find anything within a 1.5-kilometer radius, and it’s a long walk with groceries.

A beautiful, newly renovated apartment with a lovely terrace and a great location close to the beach. We stayed there in early April, which is off-season, so the surrounding area was very quiet.
Most restaurants and bars don’t open until after Easter or later. That’s why we recommend renting a car so you can get to the nearest towns, such as Nea Markri, Maraton, and others.
It’s also about 4 km to the nearest supermarket, so a car is definitely an advantage, and there are plenty of parking options near the apartment.

  3. Jørn Jørgensen

The apartment in Nea Makri is a nice, well-appointed apartment. Everything works.
The biggest highlight is the huge terrace with a fantastic view, and there’s always shelter, shade, or sun somewhere on the terrace. Off-season, the area is a bit quiet, but in Nea Makri (a 5-euro taxi ride away), there are many restaurants, shopping options, and more activity on the streets and at the harbor.

  4. Susanne Hostrup

The apartment is really nice and has plenty of space for four people. High standard of cleanliness. Perfect terrace with plenty of space. The view is also nice, though there’s an eyesore of an abandoned house on one side.
Unfortunately, the surrounding area is a bit dead in the off-season (we were there during the fall break). In Nea Makri, there are significantly better options and good restaurants.
Tip: rent a car. If you’re going to Athens, you can easily park at the outermost metro station (Doukissis Plakentias).

A really lovely, neat, and clean apartment in an incredibly great location :-). Beautiful sandy beach. If you swim a little to the right of La Costa (with your back to it), there are no rocks in the water. There are some great places to eat about 2 km from the apartment at Marathon Beach.
    We’ll definitely be back 🙂

We had a fantastic 10-day summer vacation in 2024 at the apartment. The apartment is great—but I’d suggest adding: Wi-Fi, a grill, and maybe a few fun games for the terrace, plus a microwave. By the way, the area is nice and quiet and not “touristy,” though there aren’t many good restaurants close to the apartment—and the nearest large supermarket is a few kilometers away. The good news is that both Uber and Wolt work well (on Wolt, I recommend “Gyro Gyro Oloi” for Greek food and “Lucilio Italian Gastronomy” for delicious Italian dishes) – but you have to remember to tell them that the address is in Zoumperi and not Nea Makri… we had them navigate to the wrong address twice 🙂 … Also, AMARA Beach Club is highly recommended – great service and free lounge chairs as long as you buy some drinks and/or food. But a huge recommendation from us for a lovely, peaceful, and relaxing vacation in this apartment.

  7. Hanne Heuch

Fantastic terrace and nice apartment close to a lovely beach. The area itself is somewhat run-down, with many shops closed and a long way to the nearest real shopping options.

  8. Bjarke

The apartment is located in Zouberi, which has a perfect beach (a 200-meter walk) with some really nice beach bars (about 10 of them), all of which were open and bustling with guests in early June. There are 10–15 restaurants in Zouberi. There’s a bakery below the large playground, which is about 300 meters from the apartment. It is 2 km to the center of Nea Makri, from where you can walk to Marathon Beach. It is also worth driving to Marathon to see the starting point of the original Marathon race and the Marathon Museum. There are plenty of shops on the way to Marathon (Marathonas), which is 2 km from the apartment. It is about 10 km to Rafina, from where all the ferries depart for the islands in the Aegean Sea. It is about 40 km to downtown Athens, and there is a bus from Nea Makri. During the summer season, you don’t need to rent a car, as there are small shops in Zouberi, but we paid 600 DKK to rent a car, so it’s not that expensive either way—though it’s a bit of a hassle if, like us, you’ve chosen a car with a shuttle bus. We don’t recommend that. Rent a car at the airport instead.

Very nice new apartment! Quiet area outside of peak season. Some restaurants are open but there are few guests. Close to the beach and a small grocery store, but far from “everything” else.
    Uber works!
Sewer work is still underway, which may result in water shutoffs. Do not drink tap water at this time.

  10. Kim Steffensen

The location is good, but the area is somewhat deserted, especially during the off-season. Therefore, having a car will enhance your experience by giving you more options for getting around and visiting Athens. It’s a good size for two people, with a very nice terrace and a fantastic view.

  11. Klaus Rasmussen

    Fantastic newly renovated apartment.
The rooftop terrace is simply outstanding.
The bathroom and toilet aren't very large, but they're perfectly functional.
There is some noise from sewer renovation work on nearby streets, but this will be limited until the end of April 2024.
