On the way there, you can stop at the impressive Cemeterio cemetery, known for its many monuments and peaceful atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic location. I just spent a week with my girlfriend at the Arpino apartment, and we couldn’t have been happier.
Arpino itself is the most charming little town in Italy.
There are very few residents in the town itself and in Civitavecchia on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. But Thursday through Sunday, the town comes alive, and you can easily spend 4–5 days exploring every corner and soaking up the Italian lifestyle. Monday through Wednesday, you’ll want to venture a bit outside the town, but it’s no problem making the most of your time. Sora has a lovely town atmosphere and plenty of other options if you want to try something different. Plus, the old castle ruins in Sora are a wonder to explore. You can also easily spend a day at Lago di Posta Fibreno.
The Arpino apartment itself is a little hidden treasure chest. It sits with a view of the valley and the town of Arpino on the mountaintop. It is a modernized apartment in an old, charismatic, and charming building.
The apartment is deep and connected to the buildings behind it, so it may seem a bit dark at first glance. But if you just open all the shutters, it’s actually only the bathroom that lacks natural light. Besides, it’s almost a crime to stay indoors more than absolutely necessary when the area is as lovely as it is 🙂
If you visit during the season, you can gather fallen lemons from the lemon tree in the garden and make lemonade 🙂
50% lemon juice and 50% sugar. Mix with water in a 1:6 ratio when drinking 🙂

Beautiful view from the terrace, which can be enjoyed all day long in the shade. You’ll need nice, warm weather to spend time outside, as the living room and kitchen are quite dark. A great area for hiking with plenty of elevation gain. A charming town to explore. The local restaurant, Il Ciclope, is within walking distance and is really good.

A unique, historic home with stunning views of the Liri Valley. We spent many hours on the balcony.
