  1. Jacob Hessels

A lovely apartment in a fantastic location. The beach, the harbor, and many great restaurants are all within walking distance. Plus, it only takes an hour by train to get to Rome.

  2. D. Klamer

Nice apartment. Affordable and decent train service (€7.20 round trip to Rome). Good restaurants within a 10–15-minute walk. If you have a car, visit Castel Gandolfo.
The only downside: There’s traffic on both sides of the apartment, and let’s hope the restaurant on the ground floor doesn’t reopen.

  3. Marlene

A lovely, spacious apartment with three balconies. Close to the beach, town, and train station.
Authentic, with local charm and a touch of history (WWII and the Roman Empire). Just one hour from Rome. We were there on an Interrail trip and didn’t miss having a car.

  4. HenrikV

This is our third time in Anzio and our second time in “our” apartment. If the alternative is a week crammed into a hotel room in Rome, then the apartment in Anzio means freedom and possibilities. Rome by train with hourly service for €3.60 each way, and then “home” to west- and south-facing beaches, few foreign tourists, restaurants in ALL price ranges, but always good. A lively atmosphere around the square and harbor. If you have access to a car, the mountain towns of Sermoneta and Bassiano are both worth a visit.

  5. John B. Nielsen

A very nice home with spacious rooms, 2 bathrooms, and a lovely kitchen.
The beach is a 7-minute walk from the home, and the harbor—with plenty of restaurants—is a 15-minute walk away.

  6. Anett Wiingaard

The waterfront location is unique so close to Rome, and it’s wonderful to sit at one of the many restaurants on or overlooking the beach. We visited Rome a couple of times; the trip costs just 3.60 EUR (one-way) and takes an hour, so the combination of grand Rome and a peaceful little seaside town is absolutely perfect—even outside the swimming season.

  7. Jette H

A lovely apartment in a lovely location, even in November. However, many restaurants—and the tourist office—are closed for the winter. The apartment works well even for larger groups. Two lovely balconies. There is actually a third balcony as well, though it is not furnished. Quick access to the station—and thus to Rome. Within a few hundred meters of the apartment, there is a well-stocked fish market, butcher, grocery store, and greengrocer. Authentic Italian urban atmosphere—with the usual city noise that comes with it.

  8. Anne Marie Munk

A lovely apartment with everything you need. Conveniently located within walking distance of the train station, the beach, and downtown. Just an hour’s train ride to Rome. Highly recommended—I’d definitely book it again.

  9. Claus Hornshøj

A lovely, functional home. Anzio and Nettuno are authentic Italian seaside towns, and the home offers easy access to both the town and the water. It’s also close to Rome, a natural destination for day trips.

  10. Claus Engberg

Nice apartment, spacious, with the option of multiple balconies.
Plenty of great places to eat and shop nearby.
If you’re looking for a livelier atmosphere, it’s within walking distance—just remember that things start a bit later here than in Denmark.
Excellent service from local host Vania.

  11. Lone Hedemand

A lovely, spacious apartment. There were six of us adults, and it worked out perfectly. It’s an easy walk to the train station for Rome and, in the other direction, to a lovely beach. Be sure to visit the charming little town and the harbor as well. The restaurant below the apartment is definitely worth a visit, too. Great food and very friendly service.

  12. Bjarke HL

A nice and spacious vacation apartment with several balconies. Great beaches within walking distance. The neighborhood isn’t particularly charming, but it’s safe to walk around, and there are good restaurants and shopping options just a few hundred meters from the apartment. Several charming areas in Anzio, which also has several attractions. About 1½ hours to Rome by car during the day, so taking the train to Rome, which takes 1 hour, is a better option.

  13. Kristian Knudsen

A lovely town and beach, but a bit outside the city center. A 10-minute walk to the station.

  14. Kalle Kjemtrup

Great location, just about 10 minutes from downtown, the beach, the train station, and the supermarket. The apartment is well-designed with plenty of space, spacious balconies, a great kitchen, and two bathrooms. Vania is a very helpful and welcoming host. Definitely worth a visit.

  15. Kirsten

A lovely apartment with plenty of space and all the essentials. Some noise from the street. A wonderful area with plenty of Italian charm within walking distance. Be sure to read the guestbook in the apartment—it’s full of useful tips!!

  16. Henrik Vestergaard

Anzio is lovely, with fishermen cleaning their nets in the morning and the chance to enjoy their catch at the restaurants in the evening. The central square (Piazza Pia) is authentically Italian in the evening.
The southern beach east of the harbor is better than the western one near the apartment.
There’s a market in the neighboring town of Nettuno on Thursday mornings.
The proximity to Rome with hourly train service is another plus.
The seafood restaurant “Al Sarago” and the most delicious steaks at “Fuoco Lento,” if you’re willing to splurge a bit. The pizzeria “Antico Grottino,” if a pizza and draft beer for €10 will do.

  17. Bent Hedelund

A lovely apartment, not far from the beach. Spacious and with nice balconies/terraces.
    Good restaurants and shopping nearby.
There are plenty of options for day trips, e.g., Rome by train, or by rental car along the coast to Ostia or inland.
The town of Anzio is charming, and the town center is 10–15 minutes from the apartment.
